Body Type Liposuction

Recognizing your body type or combination of types will allow you to start to see how to improve your looks permanently. Body type liposuction moves fat from areas of excess into areas where you don’t have enough. This will permanently change your appearance and make it easier for you to balance your diet to your body .

What is your Body Type

There are three body types. They are combinations of bone, muscle and fat.

Bones are difficult to change. These decide how tall you are, how big your rib cage is, and how wide your shoulders and hips are.

Muscles will respond to exercise. Toned muscles are attractive, often to the point of being described as sexy.

Fat is beautiful in the right place and the right amount.

Ectomorph

Ectomorphs have light bones, little muscle and not a lot of fat. The little fat they have is very valuable. It needs to come off their love handles and belly. But then where do we put it. Some will go to the face and some will go to the hips. There will not be enough for the breasts so consider implants first. If you do have implants consider submuscular so as to maximize pectoral muscle coverage. Then if you need more coverage a little into the breast implant margins.

This lady is an Ectomorph. I have taken fat out of her love handles, saddle bags and upper inner thigh to fill out her buttocks. She has gone from looking scrawny to having a more curvaceous appearance.

Endomorphs

Endomorphs have strong bones with a big skeleton, big muscles and lots of fat.

Active Endomorph

When young if you were very active you will have maintained a large muscle mass and looked big and strong. Like a football lineman. Once you leave college and start work you may not have time for all that exercise so muscle mass decreases and fat mass increases. You may be eating less than you ate in college but it will still be more than your body muscle mass is burning up.

If you still have a significant muscle mass we will remove the fat that is hiding those muscles.

Intra-abdominal Fat

Fat that is under the abdominal muscles cannot be removed by liposuction. This fat is around the bowel.

To decide if your fat is above the muscle or below tense the muscle and then pick up as much skin and fat as you can. If you don’t know how to tense your muscle lie on the bed and lift your head and shoulders off the bed. Then pick up as much muscle as you can.

This lady is an endomorph. The fat pad above her abdominal muscles has been reduced. This keeps her in proportion because she does not want liposuction in other areas.

Inactive Endomorph

If you didn’t exercise in college then you got here a lot sooner. If you did very little exercise you will not have a significant muscle mass. This is the inactive endomorph.

We can remove most of the fat above the muscle. IWe will excise excess skin. If your muscle is stretched you may be better to have a full abdominoplasty.

Mesomorph

Mesomorphs have a strong athletic body with good muscle mass. They can usually eat whatever they want with minor weight change because they have the muscles to burn off all that food.

Mesomorphs are well suited to high definition liposuction.

Combination Body Types

Ecto-endomorph

Thin delicate upper bodies (Ecto) with high fat storage in the hips and thighs. We will move fat from the lower half up into the upper half. (pear-shaped).

Endo-ectomorph

High fat storage in the mid and upper body with thin lower bodies. (apple-shaped).

Diet for Body Type Liposuction

Ectomorph

After we have corrected your fat distribution gaining excess weight will not be a problem. Choose energy dense foods. Try to have your three meals a day. Get into the habit of carrying snacks such as nuts, dried fruits and seeds, energy bars, etc. Find high fat foods that you enjoy like ice cream. Add butter, cream or cheese to your foods. Avocados are very good for gaining weight.

Look at the total daily protein in your diet. To maintain your muscle mass you want 0.8gm/kg of protein per day. If you are very active or trying to gain muscle mass then you will need 1.5gm/kg/day.

Endomorph

Endomorphs need to create and then support a large muscle mass. Fortunately endomorphs have no trouble consuming enough calories. Hunger can be a problem if you eat low satiety foods such as white bread, croissants. Holt led a team that created a satiety index for common foods. They fed people different foods then recorded how full they felt. Two hours later they were free to eat as much food as they wished. They measured how much food they ate.

With all this information they Created the satiety Index . Bread is the benchmark and ranks at 100% or 1.00. Croissants came in at 47 and doesn’t stop hunger for long. White boiled potato came in at 323 and keeps you full for the longest time. So be sure to go for the high satiety foods such as Porridge (Oats), Fish, Meat, potato and Fresh fruit. Mesomorph Diet

There is not enough rigorous research to firmly recommend a diet for mesomorphs. Muscles burn energy very efficiently making weight control easier for them. Mesomorphs build muscle easily meaning that it is important to eat enough protein. This is the starting point for a mesomorph diet. 0.8gm/Kg/day when inactive and 1.5 gm/kg/day when active.

You then adjust your carbohydrates to maintain energy levels. For a quick boost choose high Glycaemic Index (GI) foods. If you want energy release over a longer time span look to low GI foods. They are a commercial laboratory that tests food for their Glycaemic Index, Insulin Index, satiety response and other metabolic parameters.

When choosing fats be aware that ‘The human brain is nearly 60 percent fat. We’ve learned in recent years that fatty acids are among the most crucial molecules that determine your brain’s integrity and ability to perform.’ 

So, if you want a quality brain choose quality fats and oils.

Nerves are covered in a layer of fat called the myelin sheath. This sheath allows impulses to travel done the nerve more quickly and without losing signal strength. This sheath is 70-80% fat. If you want to be quick and get a full strength response make sure to eat top quality fats and oils.

If you don’t need to be quick ignore your diet.

Exercise for body type

Exercise targets Fat and Muscles. Fat is the petrol (Fuel) and muscle is the motor.

Resistance training increase muscle bulk (Size). Endurance (Cardio) training increases strength with less bulk. Both burn energy but resistance training continues to burn more energy for longer after the exercise.

Ectomorphs don’t have much muscle bulk. Resistance training is more important for them. This will the cover over their bones and change their shape by adding size. Cardio exercise remains important as health and beauty are strongly increased by an effective blood system.

Endomorphs need to consider the ratio of fat mass to muscle mass. Resistance training burns lots of energy but increases bulk. Cardio burns fat with less muscle bulk increase. So you need both but more of whichever is your primary concern.

Excess fat = more cardio, need more muscle = more resistance training.
